CHANNEL 3 UPDATE!
It’s shaping up to be a busy Summer for the founding fathers for Cerritos Punk Rock!! Aside from the release of their brand new “To Whom It May Concern- The 1981 Demos” LP on TKO, CHANNEL 3 will be heading to Europe from July 29 – August 8 for shows in Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and the UK. Once they’re back in the states, the band will be hooking up with the Warped Tour to play the “Old School Stage” on August 20-23. THE KRUM BUMS!
There’s no rest for the wicked!! As usual, Tejas Punk/Metal Conquistadors the KRUM BUMS aren’t missing a step in their non-stop onslaught!! They’re just off the road from their U.S. tour with the Germs, but no for long. August will see the release of their new CD EP “S.O.S.” on TKO/Crawlspace Records. The release party for this brutal collection of songs will be on August 14 at Red 7 in Austin, TX. After that they’ll be back on road with Casualties from August 20 – September 14 touring the USA. LOWER CLASS BRATS
Gearing Up For European Tour
Back home from their U.S. Tour with Vice SQUAD, Austin’s LOWER CLASS BRATS are getting ready for their upcoming European tour and writing for their next album. The band has completed their first studio recordings with the new rhythm section for the “Thoughts About You” 7” single, due to be released in time for the 2009 European tour on Combat Rock Records. It all kicks on in Paris on August 27 and wraps up in Belgium on September 19. EARWIGS 7” REISSUE
Channel 3’s “To Whom It May Concern” LP is merely the first of a series of reissue releases of classic Southern California Punk Rock that TKO Records has planned for the near future. Next on deck is a 7” release by Orange County’s the EARWIGS. The EARWIGS were a great band who’s music was a volatile mix of Punk, Power Pop and Rockabilly reminiscent of classic bands like the Real Kids and the Gears. TKO is proud to announce that we’ll be reissuing the EARWIGS’ one and only self-released 7” from 1982, with previously unreleased bonus tracks and updated artwork. Stay tuned for more details!! TOMMY & the TERRORS PRESENT
1st ANNUAL “PLAY IT LOUD” FEST!
Keeping the flame alive in the Northeast, Beantown knuckleheads TOMMY & the TERRORS will be hosting the first annual PLAY IT LOUD! Festival In Cambridge, MA on September 25 & 26. A true DIY underground event in the tradition of great festivals like Death Or Glory and Chaos In Tejas, PLAY IT LOUD will bring together an eclectic mix of Punk, Oi and Hardcore bands from the US & UK for what’s sure to be a great weekend of music!! POISON IDEA REISSUE SERIES
The gang here at TKO is happy to announce that after months of planning, we’ve finally begun work on our 7-album reissue series from Portland, OR Hardcore Punk giants POISON IDEA. Currently in the works are revamped versions of “Darby Crash Rides Again” (aka The Early Years), “War All The Time” and the infamous “Ian Mackeye,” with more to follow. All LPs will have bonus tracks, updated and expanded packaging with liner notes and previously unpublished photos from the band’s personal archives. This will be a landmark reissue series that will see these classic titles get the full treatment they deserve. Be sure to check back for more news on POISON IDEA and these reissues!!

For the first time ever, Channel 3’s original 1981 demos are collected on this 13-track LP. These are the recordings that gained the band the attention of Posh Boy Records’ Robbie Fields, and the rest, as they say, was Punk Rock history. Included are songs that became CH3 classics, previously unreleased tracks, and a WHO cover thrown in for good measure. This LP is a great snapshot of this early SoCal band in their formative stage: a must for any Channel 3 fan. Limited to 1,000 copies on purple & white vinyl. Includes CD version.
