In 1994, Drew Rowlett (drums), Ace (guitar) and Jes the Mess a.k.a. Messy (vocals/guitar) all met as teenagers in Orange County and formed their first band, the Dogs. After the Dogs' disbanding in 1998, they re-formed with Travis (long time friend, fan and Jes' brother) on bass, playing under the name, Broken Bottles.

The Bottles exploded onto the scene in the summer of 2000, following local punk dive, Club Mesa, turning into a fish taco karaoke night club. Darren Sullivan filled in on second guitar in 2001, right around the same time that Rodney on the ROQ got a hold of the Botlles first hit single, "Gothic Chicks", and he started playing it over the airwaves on his independent radio show in Los Angeles. They continued to belt out tunes in clubs and venues, while working on new material and releasing their first ever ep, "Not Pretty" in 2002.

Broken Bottles captures an early 80's Orange County punk feel , almost as if Agent Orange gave their guitars to T.S.O.L. The dark driving sound of Messy's guitar drives together with Ace's solid rhythm, as Travis lays down the bass lines blending with Drew's pounding drums. Jes the Mess made Broken Bottles listeners aware of his fiasco with Kelly Osbourne of America's favorite television show, The Osbournes.

In 2003, they released their cult classic "In The Bottles" with tons of press and reviews. The band returned to it's original line up with Ace on second guitar in 2003. The Bottles have shared the stage with such acts as the Explosion, the Dwarves, the Briefs, Kill Radio, the Real McKenzie's, U.S. Bombs, the Starvations, the Epoxies, the Skulls, GobettyGo, Cell Block 5, the Bronx, Smut Peddlers, Duane Peters and the Hunns, the Weirdos, Unit F, D.I., Manic Hispanic, etc...

2005... Broken Bottles continue to crank out intoxicating sing-a-longs and shock pop anthems.
